FABRIC & PRINT

Our Hand woven Aso Oke fabric was locally woven in Lagos Nigeria, showcasing the vibrant heritage and artistry of the region.

Material: 100% pure cotton (non-stretch), known for its durability and natural feel. The fabric will soften with wear and washing, while the colors remain vibrant and unfaded.

WASH & CARE

1. Hand Washing: It’s best to wash Aso Oke by hand using mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach, as they can damage the fabric’s fibers and colors.
2. Cold Water: Always use cold or lukewarm water to wash Aso Oke. Hot water can cause the fabric to shrink or the colors to fade.
3. Gentle Washing: Gently wash the fabric without scrubbing too hard to prevent damaging the intricate weaves. Soak it briefly if necessary.
4. Drying: Air dry the fabric in a shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight, which can cause the colors to fade. Do not use a dryer as the heat can damage the fabric.
5. Ironing: If needed, iron Aso Oke on a low heat setting. To avoid direct heat contact, you can place a cloth over the dress before ironing.
